Hi Scott...
I do agree - The problem is that when you create a video there is no guarantee that the buyer has any experience with kettlebells. In this particular video my target market is weight loss and therefor the pace of the exercises are quite fast and so the 20lbs KB is adequate specially for a female.

I do agree however that with proper technique, training and form, there is no reason to swing anything lighter than a 20lbs. In my beginner DVD I do teach proper technique, but this particular DVD is simply a follow along workout. Therefor I was rather conservative with the weight. I am aiming to make kettlebell training more accessible for the sedentary "normal" person that is usually threatened by the thought of picking up a kettlebell. I do put strong emphasis on form to avoid injuries.

I do teach out of a rehab center and work with a lot of injured individuals as well as people over the age of 55. Therefor I do sometime revert to lower weight as they still benefit from the motion and cardiovascular demands of kettlebell training.

I am releasing a new Kettlebell DVD Soon that will be more focused toward strength training for the active, fit individual and fighters as well as athletes.

Thank you for your comment - always appreciated.
Kind regards
Vanessa

Just think of how much more effective they'd be if people were actually using enough weight to elicit some change? 20lb. is great for a beginner, but aside from that, there's really no reason (except injury) for people to be doing 2 handed swings with less than 20lb. If that's too "heavy" for someone without a physical limitation besides being deconditioned, it's time to revisit form, which appears to be lacking in the videos.

Kettlebells are the very best method to get fit. I by no means bother with any other gear nowadays, just a couple of kettlebells and I look in top form.

Can you imagine how much better this world would be if everyone was in good shape, good health, and well adjusted? This looks like an awesome video. I need to get this and some kettlebells. Keep up the good work.
